1CORE WP2 focuses on creating a cohesive and innovative educational framework tailored to the needs of 4EU+ students, PhD candidates and academic staff. The objective is to establish joint educational activities and processes that support the creation of a sustainable European University model, aligned with the 4EU+ Alliance’s strategic goals.
WP2 is structured around three main tasks that contribute to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering collaboration across the 4EU+ Alliance.
Task 2.1. centers on designing joint curricula that address the diverse needs of students across the 4EU+ Alliance. The goal is to create interdisciplinary, research-driven programmes that integrate existing courses with new initiatives under the 4EU+ label. These curricula are designed to be flexible and aligned with the evolving demands of European and global job markets. The task also includes the development of joint European degrees, aimed at enhancing student mobility and recognition across member states. Collaboration with industry and academic partners will ensure the curricula remain relevant and improve graduate employability.
Task 2.2 focuses on establishing the 4EU+ Centre for Innovative and Digital Teaching and Learning. This initiative aims to create a central hub that supports innovative teaching practices and enhances digital learning across the 4EU+ Alliance. The Centre will provide educators with access to cutting-edge digital tools, resources, and training, fostering a collaborative community of practice among faculty and students. By promoting innovation in teaching methods and integrating digital solutions into the curriculum, the Centre will contribute to improving the quality of education and ensuring that it meets the needs of a rapidly changing academic environment.
Task 2.3 is dedicated to enhancing student mobility within the 4EU+ Alliance by developing new mobility schemes and addressing existing barriers. The focus is on creating opportunities that make cross-border education more accessible, flexible, and inclusive for all students. This involves simplifying administrative processes, improving financial support structures, and ensuring that mobility programs are well-aligned with the diverse needs of students. By addressing challenges such as qualification recognition and curriculum differences, the task aims to foster a more cohesive and seamless mobility experience, contributing to a more integrated European educational landscape.
