An intensive workshop of the 4EU+ Flagship 2 course Visual Literacy: Understanding the images of Europe - past and present took place in Prague on 18 and 19 March. The course was prepared by the University of Warsaw, University of Milan and Charles University within the 4EU+ educational project.

In the fourth edition of the call for 4EU+ mini-grants, Charles University selected 22 project proposals to recieve seed funding for activities focused on research and research-based education.

On 3 March 2022, former 4EU+ Flagship 1 co-leader Professor Milena Králíčková was officially inaugurated to the position of Rector of Charles University. Representatives of all 4EU+ member universities as well as the 4EU+ Secretary General were present at the ceremony.

The whole community of the 4EU+ Alliance expresses solidarity with Ukraine and its citizens, who face the brutal invasion of Putin's Russia of their independent country. In these dark hours, our thoughts are with all Ukrainian people, especially the students and colleagues who are the members of our academic environments, who study and work at the six universities of the Alliance.

For Kathrine Bruun Funch, 4EU+ Programme Coordinator at the University of Copenhagen, a clear effect of the 4EU+ mobility programme and the shared commitment to collaborate, is the significant increase in mobilities between the 4EU+ member universities. Numbers have tripled compared to Erasmus+ mobilities between the same universities in past years.

In January 2022, the European Network of German and Contrastive Linguistics, (GerCoLiNet), organized a winter school at the University of Warsaw entitled “Lexicology and Lexicography in Practice in European Comparison: Theory and Empiricism in German and Comparative Languages”.
