Charles University has announced the results of the already fifth edition of the call for 4EU+ academic mini-grants and the second edition of the student mini-grants. More than 150 members of the academic communities of our seven 4EU+ universities will come together to develop joint projects and innovative initiatives responding to the challenges facing our world today.

4EU+ joins forces with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU), Una Europa, EU-Conexus, Charm-EU and the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) in a new EU project on devising a model of a high-level and formalised strategic cooperation for European University alliances.

On 30-31 January 2023, a meeting between the Rectors of 44 European University alliances and Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, Youth and Sport, took place in Brussels. 4EU+ was represented by Professor Yves Flückiger, Rector of the University of Geneva and Isabelle Kratz, Secretary General and Head of the Association’s office.

ED-AFFICHE, a joint proposal of six European University Alliances (Una Europa, 4EU+, CHARM-EU, EC2U, EU-CONEXUS and Unite!) has been selected in the call for proposals to pilot a joint European Degree label.

The first workshop of the second edition of the the 4EU+ Visual Literacy course took place in Milan in mid-January.

The winning TRANSFORM project encompassing five universities was originally selected as one of the 4EU+ educational activities supported through the Erasmus+ European Universities programme. The collaborative 14-week course aims at identifying innovative solutions for sustainability challenges.

The University of Warsaw has been allocated over 160 000 EUR from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange for the cooperation of the 4EU+ Alliance with three partner institutions from Ukraine. The joint project with Ukrainian universities will foster flexible education paths, provide access to the European Education Area and strengthen research and didactic potential.
