The start of the 2024/2025 academic year was marked by a series of welcome and introduction events across 4EU+ Alliance universities. From lively information fairs to engaging student initiatives, the alliance made its presence felt at each institution’s opening celebrations and information sessions.

The University of Warsaw has received more than PLN 1.5 million in funding to implement the 4EU+ Eternity project as part of the NAWA Support for European Universities programme. The project’s main objective is to strengthen the initiatives already undertaken by the 4EU+ Alliance.

Over 300 guests, representatives from eight 4EU+ member universities, and dozens of parallel sessions, workshops, and meetings took place during the 6th Annual Meeting of the 4EU+ Alliance, hosted by the University of Warsaw from 25 to 27 September. The event's theme was "Digital 4EU+: Education – Research – Cooperation."
On 1 October 2024, eight European Universities alliances, including 4EU+, released a joint position paper urging the European Commission to grant full access to the Erasmus Without Papers (EWP) network for higher education institutions from third countries that wish to and are technically capable of being part of it.

The 4EU+ Alliance participated in the EAIE 2024 Conference, held from 17–20 September in Toulouse, engaging in discussions and activities to promote deeper collaboration and innovation in European higher education.

Flagship 4 news:
The 5th edition of the 4EU+ Summer School “From Fungal Morphology to Genotype” took place in Skryje, Czechia, from 1 to 7 September 2024. This year, 31 students and 5 teachers from Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Greece, and Poland participated in the course.

The project team from Work Package 3 (WP3) "Sharing Research Infrastructure," part of the 4EU+ Alliance's TRAIN4EU+ project, has successfully published their research in the peer-reviewed journal Cogent Education.

This summer, four students from the 4EU+ Alliance had the opportunity to participate in the SDG Summer School in Geneva. They worked on innovative projects aimed at addressing global challenges and gained valuable insights into sustainable development.
