1CORE partners meet in Warsaw to prepare the final phase of the project

On 27-28 May 2026, the 1CORE Work Package Coordinators met at the University of Warsaw for a two-day meeting dedicated to the final phase of the project.

Taking stock of progress across the project

On 27-28 May 2026, the 1CORE Work Package Coordinators met at the University of Warsaw for a two-day meeting dedicated to the final phase of the project. The meeting brought together colleagues from across the 4EU+ Alliance to review the progress achieved so far, prepare the final reporting period, and reflect on how the results of 1CORE can continue to support the Alliance in the future.

Turning project results into lasting resources

As 1CORE approaches its conclusion, partners focused on how the project’s outcomes can remain visible, accessible and useful beyond the project lifetime. Over the past years, 1CORE has contributed to the development of educational activities, digital tools, governance instruments, quality processes, training formats and methods for engaging external partners. The meeting offered an important opportunity to connect these results and identify how they can be further communicated, reused and embedded in future 4EU+ cooperation.

Supporting education and innovation

Education was at the centre of many discussions. Partners reflected on the development of joint educational activities, shared courses, curriculum workshops, mobility opportunities and innovative teaching and learning formats. Particular attention was given to the importance of collecting concrete examples and success stories showing how cooperation among 4EU+ universities has supported both academic collaboration and the work of staff involved in developing joint activities.

Making tools more visible and accessible

The meeting also highlighted several tools and resources developed through 1CORE, including the Embedding Transversal Skills: Guide to Enriching the Educational Offer in 4EU+, Professional Learning Academy, the Student Portal, the 4EU+ roadmap for a sustainable joint educational offer, and methodologies related to governance, sustainability and stakeholder engagement. Participants underlined that these outputs should not remain only project deliverables. They can become practical resources for the wider 4EU+ community, supporting future collaboration across education, research, digital cooperation and Alliance governance.

Strengthening student engagement

Student involvement was another important topic of discussion. Students involved in the project shared their reflections on how they experience 4EU+ and proposed ideas to strengthen student participation and sense of belonging across the Alliance.

The Warsaw meeting confirmed that the final phase of 1CORE is not only about completing project documentation. It is also about consolidating what has been achieved and ensuring that the knowledge, tools and practices developed through the project can continue to serve the 4EU+ Alliance.By bringing together Work Package Coordinators at this important stage, the meeting helped identify the next steps needed to transform project results into lasting resources for future cooperation.

The event was organised as part of the Erasmus+ 1CORE project.
