4EU+ ETERNITY

4EU+ ETERNITY project kicks off

On 4 April 2025, the official launch of the ETERNITY project took place during the 4EU+ Rectors Seminar held at the University of Warsaw. The backdrop of the project's kick-off was no coincidence: the project was inaugurated in the presence of academic leaders, senior researchers, and experts from all eight partner institutions of the Alliance. As the Rector's Seminar, titled "Leading the Way: Shaping the Future of a Transnational European University in a Changing Global Landscape", highlighted the need for unity, continuity and innovation, the ETERNITY project underscores the Alliance's commitment to long-term sustainability and forward-thinking collaboration.

The ETERNITY launch event was notably joined by Mr. Radosław Podgrudny, in charge of the Institutional Academic Programmes at NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange), who emphasised the Agency's strong support for strategic inter-institutional projects and the European Universities initiative.

With NAWA’s support, ETERNITY strengthens the Alliance’s capacity to innovate in both education and research. The project supports the development of joint interdisciplinary study programmes, competence building for academic and administrative staff, and the creation of a comprehensive joint educational offer within the 4EU+ Alliance.

During the kick-off, Dr. Anna Sadecka, Head of International Relations Office at the University of Warsaw, and Dr. Marta Jaworska-Oknińska, International Programmes Coordinator and Chief Specialist from the University of Warsaw's 4EU+ Local Office, presented the project's planned activities and upcoming events.

What’s next: Hands-on Erasmus Mundus Seminar in June

As part of the project, the first ETERNITY hands-on event "Erasmus Mundus Working Seminar: From Joint Design to Implementation" will take place on 11-13 June 2025 at the University of Warsaw. The event is dedicated to both academic and administrative staff who are actively involved in the preparation of Erasmus Mundus joint programme proposals to be submitted in 2026 or 2027. More about the seminar.

Funded by NAWA under the European Funds for Social Development Programme (FERS), 2021–2027, the ETERNITY project addresses a key priority and at the same time an important challenge for the Alliance: continuity. By ensuring a sustainable follow-up to the activities developed through both completed and ongoing projects, ETERNITY reinforces the 4EU+ Alliance’s long-term vision of building a truly integrated and innovative one Comprehensive European University. As such, it is implemented in synergy with the ongoing 1CORE Erasmus+ project.
