📢 Currently Open: Call for Applications for the Academic Year 2026-2027

SEED4EU+ is an initiative launched by the 4EU+ European University Alliance to support out-of-the-box collaborative projects that advance the Alliance’s mission of building One Comprehensive Research-Intensive European University, in line with the 4EU+ Strategy 2025–2035. This seed funding scheme supports collaborative research projects and encourages academic teams from at least three 4EU+ universities to develop innovative ideas that foster deeper integration across institutions and disciplines.

The SEED4EU+ initiative aims to:

  • Promote cross-institutional and cross-disciplinary collaboration within the 4EU+ Alliance

  • Enable the academic community to explore creative and impactful approaches that go beyond traditional project formats

  • Contribute to the long-term sustainability and strategic development of 4EU+

Supported projects focus on collaborative research activities. All proposals must be aligned with the vision of the Alliance and fall within one or more of its Flagships (thematic areas).

To support researchers at different career stages, the call offers two funding lines: Early Career and Standard.

Funded directly by the 4EU+ member universities, SEED4EU+ reflects the joint commitment to fostering academic cooperation, innovation, and lasting partnerships across Europe.
