The 4EU+ 1CORE Dissemination event Sustainable Food Systems: urban and global perspectives will gather students from 4EU+ Alliance’s universities, academics and 4EU+ associated partners who will engage in a dialogue on the future of urban food policies from a sustainable, fair and inclusive perspective, building on the 4EU+ Alliance’s student-centred, research-based educational approach consolidated within the 4EU+ 1CORE project (One Comprehensive Research-Intensive European University), as part of the Erasmus+ funded European Universities Initiative.

Organised as one of the cross-promotion dissemination events in the framework of the 4EU+ Alliance's 1CORE project, the conference Sustainable Food Systems: urban and global perspectives is organised by the University of Milan in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, 4EU+ Alliance associated partner, in the context of the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact Global Forum 2025 taking place in Milan on the 10° anniversary of the pact’s signature. The event will foster a dialogue between universities and cities on a topic of transversal interest for the 4EU+ Alliance’s flagship thematic areas.

As part of the event, perspectives on sustainable urban food systems will be shared in a roundtable with the participation of representatives of the cities of Milan, Paris and Cariplo Foundation. The roundtable will be followed by a debate with the students who participated in the 4EU+ course Feeding the Planet – Shaping a sustainable Future.
