This workshop supports teams preparing Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) proposals for submission in upcoming Erasmus+ calls. While the focus will be on EMJM, the workshop will also briefly address Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) as a possible preparatory step for future programmes.
Participants will work intensively on their own programme ideas, receiving expert feedback, practical guidance, and peer support. The workshop emphasises team-based work and practical preparation of programme components necessary for a successful Erasmus Mundus proposal and its future implementation.
The workshop is organised within the framework of the 4EU+ ETERNITY project, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), in synergy with the Erasmus+ 1CORE project.
Support teams in advancing their Erasmus Mundus Joint Master proposals, with a focus on key design and implementation elements required for a competitive application.
Address both the academic dimension of programme design and the administrative and operational aspects necessary for programme implementation.
Participants will work on specific elements of their projects such as:
programme structure and mobility pathways
needs analysis and external stakeholder involvement
consortium organisation and responsibilities
financial planning and student support
admission procedures and implementation timeline
Participants eligible for funding: staff (academic and administrative) of 4EU+ universities.
The workshop is intended for teams from 4EU+ universities who are actively preparing an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master proposal.
Participation in teams is strongly encouraged, and each team must include both academic staff and administrative staff involved in the preparation and future implementation of the programme.
Because Erasmus Mundus programmes require close coordination between academic and administrative processes, the workshop will address two complementary tracks:
Academic perspective – programme design, mobility pathways, needs analysis, engagement with external stakeholders.
Administrative perspective – accreditation, admissions, consortium agreements, scholarship management, insurance, student services, and programme implementation.
For this reason, academic staff must be accompanied by administrative colleagues, ideally including staff from:
central university administration, and
faculty/departmental administration who will be part of the daily management upon selection.
Priority will be given to 4EU+ teams actively developing a joint EMJM proposal together.
Staff from 4EU+ universities planning a proposal with external partners (not exclusively from 4EU+) are also welcome to apply.
Participants from the 2025 edition of the workshop are not eligible for funding. Participation with other, internal funding may be possible and will be decided on a case-by-case basis after the application deadline.
This workshop is designed as a hands-on working event.
Participants are expected to:
prepare in advance using materials provided by the organisers (e.g. Erasmus Mundus Programme Guide and additional resources),
come with a clearly defined programme idea or proposal concept,
actively work on their project in teams during the workshop sessions,
bring laptops, as the workshop will include collaborative working sessions.
