The project entitled ‘The Word is a Powerful Ruler’: the History, Forms, and Cultural Fate of Greek Persuasive Speech focuses on Ancient Greek literature and rhetoric. Its goal is to enhance 4EU+ students' appreciation of their cultural heritage and equip them with skills in civil discourse and critical analysis, thereby contributing to a democratic European society that prioritises effective communication. To propose viable solutions for joint 4EU+ curricula, the team will cultivate and expand upon the existing shared scholarly interests and experiment with innovative teaching methods within an ambitious educational plan that integrates both Italian and French academic activities.
'The Visiting Professorship Programme has provided me with a focused perspective on the potential challenges and tangible benefits of the specific objective of the 4EU+ Alliance, i.e. the development of common European university curricula, rewarded by the lively and interested participation of the Italian and French students involved in my project. As a person deeply interested in the design, evaluation and management of university programmes, this experience enriches my professional background, but also serves as a catalyst to foster a solid scientific collaboration with my esteemed colleagues at Sorbonne University, providing a crucial opportunity to deepen our common research interests and to advance our collective academic endeavours.'
