Meet the 4EU+ Offices

General Secretariat

From left to right: Miriam Topalian, Isabelle Kratz and Jessica Carneiro

The General Secretariat of the 4EU+ Alliance which is located in Heidelberg currently has three full-time employees. Meet our 4EU+ ladies and discover what they say about 4EU+ and their roles in it but also what they like to do if there are not in the office.

What are you in charge of/ your role and tasks: I am the oil in the wheels :-). Helping 6 major universities to think and work together to build the university of the future, bringing 6 cultures together to contribute to the construction of Europe, encouraging exchanges so that everyone can give the best of themselves for the generations to come.

4EU+ in one word: the future

I like to discover, learn, try.

I know that I know almost nothing...

I can’t do without others...and dark chocolate.

In my free time, I'm looking how my children are growing, reading, walking, discovering every day something new.

What are you in charge of/ your role and tasks: Supporting the Secretary General organising meetings, preparing discussions on key topics, coordinating 4EU+ initiatives, representing the Alliance, and many more!

4EU+ in one word: Europeanness

What is your natural habitat? Where we could usually find you, if not in the office? Either at home reading with my cat or in a plane travelling somewhere.

I like films, books, history, snow, croissants, and lighthouses.

I know quite some facts about random things.

I can’t do without coffee.

What are you in charge of/ your role and tasks: Supporting the General Secretariat in all administrative matters ranging from the scheduling of meetings to handling the finances of the association and more.

What is your natural habitat? Where we could usually find you, if not in the office? Sitting in a nice and sunny spot to have a coffee and take a break.

I like the outdoors. I like going hiking or going for walks with my dogs.

I can’t do without music.

In my free time I try to get more into gardening but currently not all plants are surviving my gardening skills, so I have still a lot to learn 😊
