PRECARE examines how migration, care, and health inequalities intersect in contexts of precarity and irregularized mobility. During my Visiting Professorship at the University of Copenhagen, I worked at the intersection of migration studies, anthropology, public health, and care research, strengthening ongoing collaborations within the 4EU+ Alliance, particularly through the GRACE project on undocumented children and elderly migrants in European cities. The stay combined collaborative research development, academic exchange, and teaching activities, including a workshop on ethics and ethnography in migratory contexts and research presentations on rerouted migration, transnational motherhood, and digital care practices.
“My stay at the University of Copenhagen offered a valuable space to deepen collaborative work on migration, care, and health inequalities across the 4EU+ Alliance. It allowed me to connect ethnographic research with public health perspectives, engage with students and colleagues across disciplines, and further develop conversations on precarious lives, transnational care, and the ethical challenges of research in migratory contexts.”
