The 4EU+ Alliance has successfully completed its first ‘External Reviewing’, conducted as part of the quality management system 4EU+QUALITY that serves to develop and enhance the quality of the 4EU+ educational offer.
We are excited to share the final results of this process: our quality management system received high praise through a very positive assessment, along with valuable recommendations for further development.
More details on the assessment can be found in the External Reviewing Board Report that is available for download below. This report represents the final output of the External Reviewing process, which involved the evaluation and monitoring of 4EU+QUALITY by an expert body of critical friends, the External Reviewing Board (ERB). Over the course of the past year, via desk research and, most importantly, the Online On-Site Visit that took place from 21-25 October 2024, five experts in quality assurance and higher education evaluated how effectively we, as an Alliance, are capable of and succeed in independently managing the quality of our educational offer through 4EU+QUALITY.
With this report, 4EU+ has reached an important milestone. “We are very happy about the overall positive feedback. Our ERB recognizes that we are vested with a system that is as lean as possible and as comprehensive as necessary and thus succeeds in filling the gaps in quality assurance and enhancement that arise from providing a novel 4EU+/alliance-level educational offer”, says Swantje Schirmer, 4EU+ Alliance Referee for Quality Management.
At the same time, the ERB provided constructive feedback in areas where there is still potential to improve both the quality of our offer and the way we manage it. The 4EU+ community is committed to addressing these areas and would like to express our gratitude to our critical friends for this helpful report.
