The monograph entitled "Central Europe and the COVID-19 pandemic: From anthropological transformation to geopolitical recomposition" was produced under a 4EU+ mini-grant received by the Centre for French Culture and Francophone Studies of the University of Warsaw, entitled "Europe Centrale face au Covid-19". The grant was implemented between September 2020 and December 2021.
Researchers from European research centres from the University of Warsaw, University of Copenhagen, Heidelberg University, Sorbonne University and Charles University- political scientists, economists and sociologists under the leadership of Kinga Torbicka, PhD (UW) analysed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the geopolitical, social and economic situation in Central Europe, which resulted in the publication of a scientific monograph. In fifteen texts, the researchers demonstrate how science responded to the pandemic crisis and how it helped understand this new phenomenon. The monograph identifies pandemic-related problems and challenges in the Central European region.
