Become a 4EU+ Student Ambassador

Are you passionate about international collaboration, creative communication, and student engagement? Do you want to help shape a more connected and visible European university community?

Apply to become a 4EU+ Student Ambassador and co-create the student voice and story across all eight 4EU+ universities.

Who we are?

The 4EU+ Alliance is a strategic partnership of eight research-intensive universities working together to build a connected European university that opens up opportunities for studying, collaborating, and growing across borders.

Student engagement is key to making the 4EU+ vision a reality, that’s why we now invite motivated students to become 4EU+ Student Ambassadors and take an active role in shaping and communicating this shared vision.

What does it mean to be a 4EU+ Student Ambassador?

The Student Ambassadors programme is a voluntary initiative that supports student-centred communication and brings the Alliance closer to the wider student community.

As a 4EU+ Student Ambassador, you will:

  • Promote 4EU+ and its opportunities among fellow students

  • Help co-create campaigns and materials that reflect the student voice

  • Join a diverse international team of students

  • Take part in Alliance-wide and local events and initiatives

Ambassadors contribute both at the Alliance and local university levels. While your exact role may vary depending on your interests and university context, you will be expected to:

  • Attend and co-organise monthly online meetings (first Tuesday of each month, 5 pm)

  • Actively contribute to two (or more) student-led projects during the year

  • Participate in an on-site workshop and online trainings

Who can apply?

You are eligible if you:

  • Are currently enrolled as a BA, MA, or PhD student at one of the eight 4EU+ universities (enrolled at least until June 2026, and ideally available for up to two years)

  • Are fluent in English

  • Have a passion for communication

It's a plus if you have:

  • Already participated in 4EU+ activities

  • Experience with social media, content creation, or student communication

  • Been involved in student organisations, clubs, or event organisation

We welcome applications from students of all disciplines and backgrounds.

What’s in it for you?

  • Become part of a vibrant European community of engaged and motivated students

  • Take part in dedicated training sessions and build your skills in social media, communication, content creation, and more

  • Collaborate on real projects with diverse international team

  • Possibility to represent the Alliance at events and participate in 4EU+ activities

  • Receive a recognition of involvement from the 4EU+ Alliance, issued upon active participation in the programme

Ambassadors are generally expected to dedicate around 5-15 hours per month (with flexible intensity over the course of the year)

Choose one of the real-world challenges below and submit your creative concept. These exercises are not only part of your application—they’re also a chance to see your ideas brought to life! Pick one of the following challenges or feel free to propose a different idea for a feasible student-focused project that could be realized within the programme.

    • Social media campaign: You’re planning a campaign featuring student ambassadors. What’s your concept? Propose a topic, format, posting strategy, or visual approach that would help raise awareness and engagement.

    • Printed material: Imagine you’re creating a leaflet, pamphlet, or other printed item to introduce 4EU+ to new students. What content and style would make it accessible, engaging, and useful across universities?

    • Ambassadors’ webpage: The 4EU+ Student Ambassadors will have their own dedicated space on the Alliance website. What should it look like? What content or features would make it engage and representative of the initiative?

You can submit your project proposal as a short text, visual, video, or other creative format.
