4EU+ Student Ambassadors

Charles University

Adam Martinek

Hi! My name's Adam and I'm a Ph. D. candidate in human geography at Charles University, where I research issues of poverty and social exclusion. Apart from research, I also teach and assist with geography courses, which is the type of work that I find really fulfilling. Helping young smart people reach their potential is fun and incredibly rewarding. That's also part of the reason why I wanted to become an ambassador; over the past several years, 4EU+ has offered me a heap of opportunities which immensely helped my personal growth. From urban planning field trips in Paris to coordinating a panel at the European Student Assembly in Strasbourg, participating in alliance activities has given me a new perspective on life and created many lasting friendships with colleagues from all over Europe.

In my role as ambassador, I want to reach out to as many of our students as possible and help them take advantage of the same opportunities which have been offered to me.

I firmly believe that education empowers individuals and communities, and its transformative potential is most potent when extended to all, irrespective of gender or socio-economic background. This conviction fuels my commitment to promoting representation and inclusivity, echoing the ethos of the 4EU+ Ambassador Programme.

I see this position as a chance to promote diversity, amplify diverse voices, and help create a more equal learning environment. The platform perfectly reflects my values, enabling me to combine my interests in advocacy and academia to make a significant contribution to the 4EU+ community and beyond.
