Geneva hosts the 2nd edition of TRANSITION Student Start-ups Meeting

Geneva took the baton from Prague to host the 2nd 4EU+ Tomorrow’s Research and Science Innovation in student start-ups from 9 to 10 October 2023. The event was made possible thanks to a 4EU+ student mini-grant from Charles University.

With a warm welcome from Prof. Enrica Bordignon, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Science, the event brought together a dynamic cohort of 15 students, including three from Ukraine, alongside entrepreneurs and student start-up funders.

Over two activity-packed days, attendees had the chance to explore the Fongit Incubator, engaging in lively discussions with experienced keynote speakers, and collaborating with international peers on business canvases for final presentations. For those looking to embark on their start-up journey or already engaged in related activities, the event provided a great opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant start-up culture. Julien Levallois, Manager of the Science Innovation Hub at the Faculty of Science (UNIGE) and the mastermind behind this event, was accompanied by Johanna Schwarz (Heidelberg University) to bring students into the design thinking process.
