MEET2TALK online event: DONATUS DIGITALIS. Individualized support for Medieval Latin learning through LLMs

Date & time: Wednesday, 3 December 2025, 18:00 – 20:00 CET

Location: Online (via MS Teams)

The 4EU+ Alliance is pleased to announce the upcoming MEET2TALK online event, hosted by the Teaching & Learning Team of Heidelberg University's heiSKILLS Competence and Language Centre.

MEET2TALK activities offer a dynamic platform for educators, researchers, and professionals in higher education to exchange views on the current teaching & learning topics and dive into meaningful discussions inspired by good practice examples.

The MEET2TALK on 3 December will explore the use of privacy-conscious Large Language Models to reduce student anxiety when preparing for the Medieval Latin exam, which many students perceive as particularly challenging. Dr. Aaron Vanides, Lecturer in Medieval History (Department of History, Heidelberg University), will explain how his proseminar, focused on the 11th-century chronicler Adam of Bremen, integrated self-directed LLM support as part of the bwGPT pilot project. He will discuss student experiences as well as the pedagogical opportunities and challenges that this approach presents.

How to join?

The event will be conducted in English, and no registration is required.
