Sustainability and animal welfare: learning about the WOAH global strategy

Students and PhD candidates from 4EU+ Alliance universities are warmly invited to attend an upcoming seminar titled “Sustainability and Animal Welfare: Learning about the WOAH Global Strategy.” The seminar is organised within the MERGED Joint Master’s programme at the University of Milan.

Date: 25 November 2024

Time: 15:30 - 17:30 CET

Location: Room Molon, University of Milan (in-person) and online via Teams (web-streamed)

Leopoldo Stuardo from the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) will outline the global strategy for advancing animal welfare across the world. He will also explore the balance between animal welfare and (environmental, social, economic) sustainability, and how these efforts align with achieving the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event is free and open to all students. In-person attendance requires registration by 21 November, while online participation is open without prior registration.
