From 12 to 15 September 2022, a group of HR specialists met in Prague at the first 4EU+ Staff Training Week. Participants from Charles University, University of Warsaw, Sorbonne University, University of Milan and the 4EU+ General Secretariat shared best practices and learnt about HR offices and structures at each institution. The event was also a great opportunity to discuss the role of HR in the European University Alliance and its main projects.
Before the launch of the programme, the participants were welcomed by the Rector of Charles University Milena Králíčková. Sessions focused on the different employee evaluation systems and management staff training motivated interesting discussions and pointed out the lack of courses offered in English to employees at all the universities. The group suggested that the development of the offer of such courses might be a good opportunity for 4EU+ to get involved.
One of the popular workshops was dedicated to "building of the imaginary university". The participants could share the final remarks from the 4-day event with the Vice-Rector for International Affairs Markéta Křížová who closed the Staff Training Week.
"I believe that all participants not only exchanged good practices, shared their knowledge and had some fruitful discussions, but also found new colleagues among 4EU+ and established new partnerships out of the project structure. And, of course, enjoyed a few days in Prague," comments the organizer of the event Tereza Vosejpková (International Relations Office, Charles University).
