On 23-25 May 2022, students and teachers involved in the 4EU+ Colleagio Futuro project met on a co-creation workshop at the University of Milan.
Collegio Futuro is a joint interdisciplinary PhD college of the 4EU + member universities. It seeks to foster the essential skills that future leaders need in order to tackle our urgent environmental, economic and social challenges. During the hybrid workshops, doctoral students work together on projects dealing with a practical approach to environmental problems, acquiring new skills in interdisciplinary communication, project development or system and project thinking.
The May workshop placed special thematic focus on environmental, economic and policy issues related to plastics, raising thereby awareness for one of the central European issues in development of future circular economy with worldwide perspective. PhD students gained knowledge and learnt about the tools to develop an interdisciplinary research project on this issue.
