European perspective on Literature, Culture, Language and Certification

"European perspective on Literature, Culture, Language and Certification" (EpoLCLC) will create common methodological bases, both theoretical and practical, taking into account the diversity of European practices related to the teaching of French as a foreign language and Francophone literatures. Beyond their language and research skills, students will be able to develop their knowledge of the specificities of approaches to literature in different European countries, enrich their knowledge of the role of French as a language of communication in Europe and become familiar with the requirements of language certification.

Three aspects will be analysed:

  1. social representations of literature in general and French/Francophone literatures,

  2. social representations of the role of a translator, literary translation and publisher in the contemporary intercultural transfer, especially regarding Francophone literatures,

  3. the place of literatures in the contemporary language didactics, including the language certification, and techniques for working with text literary in various cultures.
