Are you interested to exercise your critical thinking skills, learn about the phenomenon of disinformation, understand its mechanisms and ways to counter it?

This Spring semester, the University of Geneva is offering to a limited number of students, an online course entitled Exercer son esprit critique à l’ère informationnelle (taught in French) as part of its Virtual Exchange / Shared Courses program. As a student registered in one of our partner universities, you can access the course for free and validate 3 ECTS credits.

In this course, you will explore the diverse cognitive biases that hinder critical reasoning and recognize them in your own judgments. You will learn strategies for recognising fake news and finding reliable sources, as well as concrete strategies to develop your informational vigilance.
