Activity Based Curriculum Learning Design @4EU+ Online Event: Supporting Academic Development in the Age of the European Universities

The 4EU+ Alliance academic development team (re)designed the Activity Based Curriculum Learning Design (ABC LD @4EU+) training method as a sustainable and creative activity for a developing academic environment taking into account contemporary and future requirements for 21st century education. The ABC method's main goal is to provide teachers and educational developers with a quick and engaging yet in-depth tool for building coherent and student-centered teaching while promoting active learning approach. It is meant to support teachers’ skills and align teaching teams around shared educational goals. The training includes several new resources explicitly linked with the pedagogical proposal and framework designed by the 4EU+ Alliance.

Who should participate and what can participants expect to gain from the event?

We invite colleagues from our sister alliances - specifically staff working at alliance and university levels to deliver training for teachers on how to design academic development – as well as partners from the European Commission and other key stakeholders to engage with us.

Through demonstrations conducted by our 4EU+ facilitators, and through active engagement, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the already well-known method, redesigned in the context of the European University and educational mission of the 4EU+ Alliance. During the event we have also planned a Questions&Answers session and a discussion of how alliances of European universities can support the academic development and prepare both educators and learners for a modern innovative education and achieve a goal of truly integrated didactic framework.

The event is highly interactive and therefore limited seats (50) are available. We aim for as many of our sister alliances to be represented as possible, and therefore suggest that 2-3 persons per Alliance sign up for the event.
