Protocol, Reviewing, Ownership and Publishing in Experimental Research (PROPER course)


Research is defined as “the systematic investigation or study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions”. Everything related to the research activity itself has to follow certain rules and regulations, hence systematic as well. The PROPER course is a modular practical workshop covering the principles of research design, protocol writing, research governance and journal publishing. Modules will be delivered over 4 sessions that include a balance

between theoretical and practical components. The course is suitable for anyone planning or studying for a research degree in the biomedical field.


The short module programme is organised by Charles University in Prague as part of the project “Academic Partnership for Innovation in Teaching and Learning” (API), funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Project partners: University of Warsaw (project coordinator), Charles University in Prague, Sorbonne University, University of Heidelberg.


Target group: research degree students in biomedical sciences


Classes will be conducted online on 6-9 December 2021. Participation is free of charge. Language of instruction: English.
