On 15-17 April, students from Charles University, Heidelberg University, the University of Geneva, and Sorbonne University joined students from the University of Milan for the third edition of 4EU+ Sport Days, an initiative that brings together the 4EU+ student community in a celebration of teamwork, inclusivity, movement, and international mobility.
The event took place across different locations in Milan, from the Città Studi University campus to the artificial lake Idroscalo in the outskirts of the city and included a final run across the streets of Milan, concluded with a celebratory lunch in the courtyard of the University’s Central Campus Ca’ Granda.
4EU+ is about learning to become great team players in multicultural contexts, and the 4EU+ Sport Days have been an energetic opportunity to put this into practice: students were organised in international teams, each gathering teammates from different universities, and practised touch rugby, beach volleyball, spartan race, ultimate frisbee, canoe, dragon boat and padel.
The event aimed at fostering student engagement and connections across 4EU+ Universities, as part of the Erasmus+ 1CORE project’s mission to build One Comprehensive Research-Intensive European University.
It was an amazing experience. I met student from alla around Europe and discovered new sports, such as rugby… thanks for organising this!
Apolline, Sorbonne University
My tip to be a good 4EU+ teammate? Just go and talk to people…remember everyone is in the same situation, they are all very open, and playing sports together is the perfect way to know each other!
