The 4EU+ Student Climate Action Network (SCAN) is a student-led, interdisciplinary initiative committed to creating a strong student community around the issue of climate action and helping the 4EU+ student community build a sustainable future.
Through various projects, the network aims to facilitate knowledge sharing within and beyond the student community, strengthen ties between climate-related student associations across the alliance, improve university education in the field of sustainability, environment, and climate issues, and increase students’ engagement with decision-making bodies, such as international organizations, NGOs and governments at various levels.
In this network, students can join motivated, like-minded individuals who want to make a difference in the world by envisioning a sustainable future and actively working towards it with the support of researchers—particularly involved in Flagship 4: Environmental transitions—and administrative staff who provide guidance in scientific or organizational questions and help bring project ideas to life.
For an overview of the network’s current projects, see the SCAN website.
This network is open to motivated students of any discipline enrolled in all levels of university education: bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs in one of the 4EU+ Alliance member universities. It is also open to researchers who would be open to sharing their expertise related to climate change, sustainability, collective action, policy, etc., and administrative staff who would like to help promote the network and address organizational questions.
All interested parties are asked to send an email to the network coordinator, Tinka Stössel: [e-mail] to register for a welcome call where they can learn more about the network and current projects and share their interests or project ideas.
