The CONCERNING project strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration in environmental economics by linking economic valuation methods with cutting-edge spatial environmental data. It addresses the challenges of integrating complex, dynamic environmental information—such as satellite imagery and AI-based models—with socioeconomic data to inform evidence-based policy in areas like climate change adaptation, sustainable agriculture, and environmental health.
The project brings together early-career researchers and experts to share methods, build research capacity, and identify pathways toward long-term collaboration. Activities include database development, hands-on training, and joint proposal preparation, laying the foundation for high-impact research and future funding opportunities. CONCERNING aims to advance the role of environmental economics in shaping responsive and inclusive environmental policy across the 4EU+ Alliance and beyond.
