4EU+ representatives attend the European University Alliances’ meeting with Commissioner Mariya Gabriel

On 30-31 January 2023, a meeting between the Rectors of 44 European University alliances and Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, Youth and Sport, took place in Brussels. 4EU+ was represented by Professor Yves Flückiger, Rector of the University of Geneva and Isabelle Kratz, Secretary General and Head of the Association’s office.

ED-AFFICHE, a joint proposal of six European University Alliances (Una Europa, 4EU+, CHARM-EU, EC2U, EU-CONEXUS and Unite!) has been selected in the call for proposals to pilot a joint European Degree label.

Gorgi Krlev wins the 2023 Financial Times Responsible Education Award for Teaching

The winning TRANSFORM project encompassing five universities was originally selected as one of the 4EU+ educational activities supported through the Erasmus+ European Universities programme. The collaborative 14-week course aims at identifying innovative solutions for sustainability challenges.

4EU+ for Ukraine

The University of Warsaw has been allocated over 160 000 EUR from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange for the cooperation of the 4EU+ Alliance with three partner institutions from Ukraine. The joint project with Ukrainian universities will foster flexible education paths, provide access to the European Education Area and strengthen research and didactic potential.

International Student Workshop Presented Interdisciplinary Applications of Mathematics

In mid-November, the Student Workshop on Applied Mathematics took place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. The three-day international event, organised within a student mini-grant brought closer the application of mathematics across disciplines.

4EU+ student start-up community initiated in Prague

On 10 and 11 November 2022, Prague hosted the 1st 4EU+ Tomorrow’s Research and Science Innovation in student start-ups, an event in which students, entrepreneurs and student start-up funders from the 4EU+ universities gathered to exchange ideas, information and experience.
