As M3EP is a double degree, you will get a diploma from
University of Copenhagen
your second-year university.
The process of issuing the diploma varies from university to university.
However, before each university can issue your diploma, you need to ensure that your 120 ECTS credits are recorded at each of the universities you attended.
By now you should have applied for a credit transfer from UCPH to your second-year university. If you have done so, you will now have 120 ECTS recorded at your second-year university. If not, please see the sections for instructions.
Here, you can see how to get your transcript of records from the M3EP partner university you attended on your second year of studies.
The transcript of records (ToRs) can be issued at any time upon request by either the AWI or IPW examination office according to your study track. After you have completed all study requirements, a certified ToRs will be issued to you.
Stamped certificates can be requested using a dedicated online service called ”Online stamped certificates service”. This service is available using the contact service InformaStudenti, clicking on the link Certificates and self-certification at the bottom of the page.
Transcripts of Records (ToRs) can be issued immediately after all study requirements are completed and all grades are entered in the Student Information System (SIS). You can pick up your ToRs at the International Degree Programmes Office, or the office can send it to you by post or by email.
Transcript of Records (ToRs) can be issued after completing all courses and exams. All grades must be inserted into the system. In order to get ToRs you must request it at Students Offic by email to the administrative officer of M3EP Programme.
Once you have a certified transcript of records from your second-year university, you must apply for a credit transfer of the remaining 60 ECTS to UCPH.
All credits will be transferred as pass/fail to your UCPH transcript.
You apply for a credit transfer on UCPH Study Information.
If you complete your M3EP studies, you will earn a double degree, which means that you will get a diploma from
the University of Copenhagen
The process of issuing the diploma is different for each partner university.
Before each university can issue your diploma, you need to ensure that your 120 ECTS credits have been recorded at each of the two universities you attended.
The title awarded for the M3EP double degree depends on which universities you attended throughout the programme. You can see the degree titles under programme structure -> Profile and career.
You diploma from UCPH will be issued no later than eight weeks after you have applied for a credits transfer of the 60 ECTS from your second-year university to UCPH.
You can read about the UCPH diploma on UCPH Study Information.
Diplomas (together with the certificate and diploma supplement) are issued by the Institute/Faculty in charge of the track after you have completed all study requirements. Diplomas are usually issued no later than four weeks after the assessment of the master’s thesis.
The final grade is not printed on the diploma („Urkunde”) itself, but on the certificate („Zeugnis”) and the diploma supplement. While the official versions are in German, copies in English are also provided.
The final documents can either be collected from the AWI or IPW examination office or sent to you by post. If you choose the last option, please give the respective examination office a self-addressed envelope for this purpose.
Diplomas are issued for the diploma ceremony, which follows a few months after the state examination and thesis defense. This is where you will receive your diploma.
Diploma ceremonies take place three times per year: at the end of September, for those who have completed their thesis defense and state exams in June, in November for those who have done so in September, and in mid-March for those who have defended the thesis and passed the exams in February.
If you cannot be present at the graduation ceremony, you should inform the International Degree Programmes Office after passing the final state exam in order to receive the diploma while still in the country. You can also request the diploma to be sent to you via registered post, by sending a signed original of the power of attorney via post to the International Office, which will subsequently ship the diploma to the requested address.
More information is available in the Graduation FAQ .
Diplomas and supplements to diplomas are issued 30 days after the thesis exam. Date, from what day it can be received, will be published in the system (USOS Web). Students must go to The Students Office of the FES and pick up the diploma and diploma supplement in person.
