University of Warsaw has selected four projects in the second edition of research mini-grants, aiming to support joint research initiatives in the four Flagships of the 4EU+ Alliance. The mini-grants are funded by the University of Warsaw from the "Excellence Initiative - Research University" project.
The first, pilot mini-grant competition was closed in July 2020 and aimed at supporting inter-university teams conducting research within the thematic realm of Flagship 2 “Europe in a changing world: understanding societies, economies, cultures and languages” (see the selection results of the pilot call). The second call was open to research initiatives in the four Flagships of the Alliance.
Out of the four projects selected in the second call, one responds to the aims and challenges addressed by Flagship 1: Health and demographic change in an urban environment. Three projects are within the thematic realm of Flagship 2: Europe in a changing world: understanding societies, economies, cultures and languages.
The projects involve researchers from the University of Warsaw (all four projects), Charles University, University of Copenhagen and University of Milan (three projects), and Heidelberg University (two projects). Two project teams comprise researchers from external partner institutions, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and University of Milano-Bicocca.
